Reason For Apping: I was directed to CFUD courtesy of a good friend (Kade, formerly played Rosette, Suzaku, Hitsugaya, Kagura, and many more!), and thought it looked AWESOME although I was like 14 years old and terrified of how funny everyone was. I wanted to play a character from a decently unknown canon so I could warm up to the place without having a ton of pressure to be awesome immediately, and I had just finished Crescent Moon, so Keiko seemed like a solid choice! She was the easiest character to be funny with, since she's extremely snarky and sarcastic. Plus, she had a profound hatred for anyone with demonic/magical powers, so I thought it would be interesting in Camp.
Reason for Dropping: At the time, I was literally SO shy and so afraid of causing conflict or making anyone mad, so I never felt like I could truly release all of Keiko's proper bitchiness. I'm pretty sure I played her as being just too nice and kind of out-of-character because I was afraid other players would take her rudeness personally. I never said I WASN'T a total dumbass okay Ultimately, I knew I couldn't keep her up and every comment was a struggle, so I decided to app someone else!
Select Option 3?: I reread Crescent Moon recently, in the form of a terribly-done online fan-translation. First of all: IT'S ACTUALLY GOD DAMN TERRIBLE o-oh my god, Second of all: The translation was awful, and at one point, they actually had the main love interest yelling to the main girl "I JUST WANT TO EMBRACE A GIRL BY THE SHOULDER." What even?

That's How Long?: A little over 7 months. N-not bad for me and my short attention span

Reason For Apping: Keiko just wasn't fun or silly or cracky enough for Camp, and at the time, I just literally was not emotionally capable of playing a snarky/mean character in Camp. So! I figured someone more fun and energetic would be a better choice. I went through all the different series I loved and finally remembered how BADASS AWESOME I had thought Fuuko was in Flame of Recca. I figured she'd be perfect in Camp: she's strong, independent, has a lot of hobbies and would build a solid routine here, makes friends easily, has interesting powers/abilities, and could be thrown into literally any situation. Plus, I was just overall more confident in my understanding of her character and my ability to play her!
Reason for Dropping: I HAD STARTED HIGH SCHOOL, basically. l-lol I was such a baby when I first played here I was just really busy and had a lot of things going on, and unfortunately CFUD kind of fell on the backburner. I wanted Fuuko to be remembered for her awesomeness and being at the forefront of a lot of fun events, not as a sad little background character who only talked to her group of established friends. Plus, I had begun kind of losing my interest in anime/manga in general at that time, so I decided she would go out while she was still going strong. IT WAS REALLY HARD THOUGH and rereading her drop post still makes me tear up a little.
Select Option 3?: Fuuko's friendship with the Avatar-cast (lookin' at you especially, Sokka and Katara and Toph), as well as with Ikki, Yousuke, Brock, Peony, the Gurren Lagann cast, Claire, Usagi, Sanosuke, and god knows who else were the highlights of my Camp experience that time around, uwah. I literally refuse to accept that this Fuuko lives in a world where she can't see them. I am 100% committed to the idea that she frolics around Japan with those on that list who live there, and uses the shadow ball madogu to travel to the Avatar Cast/anyone else not from modern-day Japan. :|b Let me live my happy life, okay.

That's How Long?: Somewhere around 2 months. B-back to being terrible and flighty again.

Reason For Apping: I was burning out on CFUD due to general high school hectic-ness, as I said in my reasons for dropping Fuuko. I didn't quite want to accept it, though, so I thought that MAYBE a new character would be the solution. I've loved the Tales of... game series for as long as I can remember, and Symphonia always had the most special place in my heart. There was already a Professor Raine in Camp (you were the best, dear ♥), so I thought it would be fun to finally app a character that actually had a castmate! I debated between apping Sheena and Colette for some time, but I thought Colette would be more fun due to being wildly different from Fuuko. She's my special little Jesus-esque klutz and I knew she'd be hilarious in a zombie camp. Stop zombie discrimination!!
Reason for Dropping: More or less the same deal as with Fuuko; high school. I never quite established a solid routine with Colette, though, and I think 90% of her comments came from the two posts I ran with her and I hardly ever threw her out, otherwise. I knew it just wasn't gonna work, so I let her go rather than hold on and watch her fizzle out.
Select Option 3?: Her "zombie tea party" post was probably the most fun post I've ever ran, so at least she's got that going for her! Also, I just want to share the joy that is Tales of Symphonia with all of you. If you haven't played it yet, do it! It's the light of my life.

Reason For Apping: I LOVED Orange is the New Black; my roommates and I marathoned the first season in under a week and Alex's character was my favorite from the beginning for many reasons. A) I have a big fat lesbian crush on her, B) I adore how complex she is; just when you think you have the motivation for her actions all figured out, you realize you were completely wrong, C) she is sad and emo yet doesn't give a fuck and is manipulative but loving and snarky and hilarious and badass. I randomly re-stumbled upon CFUD when I was having a nostalgic phase, and was like, "Aww, I miss this place." However, I assumed there would already be an Alex, so I didn't bother looking and forgot about it for a while. The thought randomly crossed my mind again during another bout of nostalgia, so I finally figured, what the hell. I'll app again.
Potential Reasons for Dropping: At the moment, nothing! I was afraid something shitty might come up in Season 2 that would render her completely different from how I thought, or otherwise unplayable in Camp, but it didn't happen that way -- so I'm good! I ADORE Alex and I love playing her. I'm finally comfortable with playing a character who is a bit snarky and bitchy, and I have so much fun writing her responses in various threads. So, as of right now? You can pry her from my cold, dead hands.
Select Option 3?: I can't decide if I feel like updating her to the end of Season 2 or not. I don't think it makes a huuuge difference in her characterization? But I'm not really sure yet WE'LL SEE. Also, I need to run posts with her more often. I'm just currently lacking in ideas.

Reason For Apping: Flame of Recca is my forever girl. While I love playing Alex here and I consider her my primary, I just can't exist in Camp and NOT play Fuuko, I guess?! I adore her. She's easy to play and I can just turn my brain off and throw her into any situation whatsoever. After I had settled into playing Alex, I knew I needed someone who I could also throw into any situation whatsoever and have her enjoy some of the sillier/crackier aspects of Camp. Fuuko fills a hole in my soul that no other character can fill, I suppose. So, it seemed pretty perfect to me!
Potential Reasons for Dropping: Same as Alex, you can pry Fuuko from my cold, dead hands! I don't see any reason to drop her; she adapts and changes constantly and will always be fun to play I'm a-okay with it.
Select Option 3?: I am SO EXCITED about all of Fuuko's projects. Self defense class, a top secret training ground, counseling Jade, and whatever else she may do. I NEED to post more with Fuuko, though. I want to post something with her within this next week.
SO OVERALL that is that. I used to be very terrible at character balancing, and I used to run out of stamina for characters very quickly. I'm working on it, though, I swear! :|b This time around I'm hoping to throw both of my characters out more often and maintain a decent balance. Hooray.
